Our Summer So Far…

🌟 MSB Presents: The Wizard of Oz

One of the most memorable moments this spring was our student production of The Wizard of Oz.
From singing and acting to set design and costumes, our students shined brightly, showing off their talents and teamwork.

Take a look at the photos below to see the joy and creativity that brought this production to life.

In this production, the cast dazzled in creative costumes: a buzzing bee, Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, two lively lions, and several others in all black with whimsical antennae. Set against a vibrant forest backdrop, they delivered an unforgettable experience that celebrated imagination and inclusion for all.
At The Maryland School for the Blind, a young girl in a blue gingham dress stepped center stage and, with flair, tossed a bucket filled with vibrant materials across the scene. Meanwhile, two performers—one clad in an impressive lion costume—looked on from behind, bringing our lively production to life.

The best outcomes of this project are all the “I can” statements that are now part of the students’ lives. Students who participated in the musical can now say, “I can sing in a musical” or “I can wear a costume and become a character in a musical” or “I can dance on stage in a musical.”

Yes they can!
