Thanks to the generous support of Baltimore County, the Middendorf Foundation Inc. and L.H. Cranston, Inc., MSB will celebrate the grand opening of a new student independent living home on January 26 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:00 p.m. The rancher style house will be home to 6-8 older students who will learn activities of daily living while attending the school.

The Maryland State Department of Education and The Maryland School for the Blind will be hosting the Maryland Regional Braille Challenge on Saturday, February 11, 2012 Students who read braille in grades Prekindergarten through Grade 12 can participate in the Maryland Regional Braille Challenge reading and writing contests. Parents and siblings can participate in workshops while students are taking the tests.
