The best way to make a difference in the lives of children in Maryland who are blind, visually impaired and multiply disabled is to invest in The Maryland School for the Blind. Your contribution allows MSB to continue its tradition of excellence in serving students in every county of the state by providing dozens of programs and services. Without your help, this would not be possible.

You can invest in MSB in a variety of ways, including: general contributions, memorial/tribute gifts, in-kind donations, car donations, event sponsorships, or a gift from your estate.

General Contribution
Contributions of cash or stock are always welcome and may be made to the school’s general operating fund or may be designated to be used for a particular program.

You can also donate through your employer through United Way.

Memorial/Tribute Gifts
Gifts may be made in memory or honor of an individual. When your gift is received, it will be promptly and properly acknowledged to the appropriate person.

In-Kind Donation
These donations include clothing, toys, electronics, CD's or other materials that can be used by our students.

Vehicle Donation Program
In most cases vehicle donations made to bona fide charitable organizations like the MSB, are tax deductible.   However, individual tax situations vary so please check with your tax professional to determine what if any tax benefit you may receive from a tax deductible donation. 

As required by Maryland law, MSB's car donation program is licensed by the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), license #W1202, and our car donation program is periodically monitored by the MVA. To donate a vehicle online, click here.

Event Sponsorship
This is a great way for your business or company to help MSB and to gain positive exposure in the community. By sponsoring an event you can gain statewide recognition and community favor.

Bequest or Estate Gift
By leaving a gift to MSB in your will or estate, you will be giving the gift of a lifetime. If you would like to make a bequest to The Maryland School for the Blind, here is a sample wording that you can use:

A Specific Bequest to The Maryland School for the Blind:

"I give, devise, and bequeath to The Maryland School for the Blind located at 3501 Taylor Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21236-4499 $_______."

A Percentage Bequest to The Maryland School for the Blind:

"I give, devise, and bequeath to The Maryland School for the Blind located at 3501 Taylor Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21236-4499 _______ percent of my estate."

A Residual Bequest to The Maryland School for the Blind:

"All the residue of my estate, including real and personal property, I give, devise, and bequeath to The Maryland School for the Blind located at 3501 Taylor Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21236-4499."
